Visit of a Vermiculture Operation
Ecotica welcomes you to our first visit in Indonesia!
We’ve met with Mr Ilman who kindly showed us his vermiculture operation.
We organized this meeting to share our experience and
knowledge. The result of this exchange was a success as it contributed
to a mutual enrichment of both parties.
As we walked on the narrow edges, we happily reached for the worms with our hands to check-up on their health and living conditions at different sampling locations.
After a couple hours of in-depth talks about the specifics of worm rearing. We witnessed the crew feeding the worms with a particularly ingenious use of badminton equipment! Mr Ilman’s operation allows him to reduce local waste of tofu production by putting the dregs on the worms menu.
At Ecotica we believe earthworms are part of the future! This technology will be included in the solutions we put forward.
