About us

Growing a Future Where People and Nature Thrive

Ecotica is an International Non-Profit based in Brussels, Belgium, established in 2022, with a pilot project in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. We design regenerative farming systems that restore soil, cut emissions, and protect biodiversity, helping communities feed themselves while caring for the planet.

From Local Roots to Global Impact

By developing sustainable, replicable agroecosystems, we create solutions that can be adapted worldwide. Our work combines innovation, community empowerment, and environmental stewardship to build a more resilient and fair food system.

Together, we can shape a thriving tomorrow.

Team Ecotica

Vision

We envision a future where humans live in harmony with nature, where food security is rooted in dignity, and where synergy between ecology and livelihood is not the exception, but the norm.

Mission

We build regenerative systems where people, planet, and production thrive in synergy through restoring soil and biodiversity, delivering hands-on training, transforming farmland into living classrooms, sharing knowledge openly to inspire global replication, and guiding the path toward lasting sustainability.

Values

What we do

Agroecology

We teach and implement regenerative farming practices that honor both tradition and ecology. We focus on composting, seed-saving, and soil health – no toxic chemicals needed. These methods reduce dependence on external inputs and help farmers build climate resilience.

Value-added innovation

Farmers often lose money because their crops perish before being sold. We help turn those raw crops into shelf-stable, high-quality products—like chips, teas, jams, and sauces—so farmers can earn more and waste less.

Community empowerment

Agriculture has an image problem. We’re changing that by making farming hands-on, creative, and culturally relevant. Through workshops, internships, and open farm days, we’re rebuilding farming’s identity—from “old-fashioned” to “future-focused.”

Our team

Ulysse – Co-founder

Experiencing nature and agriculture globally has deeply impacted my worldview. Witnessing hardship and environmental damage sparked my motivation to work on systems for a more harmonious relationship between humanity and the natural world, inspired by nature’s resilience and beauty.

Putri – Co-founder

From questioning norms in a conservative upbringing in Indonesia to embracing sustainability in Belgium, I chose not to let religion and cultural expectations define my path. I fight for farmers, challenge conventional approaches, revive soil health, and grow hope. “When we care for nature, it cares back.”
